Decision makers
ECOWICE support local decision makers in implementing sustainable forest and land use practices. In 2021, we worked with Mkata Village to form a Village Natural Resource Committee made up of 12 individuals. These committee members protect and patrol their community forest, as well as make management decisions such as sustainable harvesting practices that community members must follow.
