It is now summer season where farmers are not engaged in farming, the main source of livelihood for the community adjacent to Mikumi national park. It is the season where farmers struggle to find other sources of livelihood and mostly end up destructing from the forest and wildlife resources.
ECOWICE is now supporting farmers to grow mushrooms as a source of livelihood during the off-farm season.
