As the future conservators of Mikumi national park, SAVE WILD club members of Mkata primary school visited Mikumi national park to experience the life of animals within the park. ECOWICE supports children adjacent to Mikumi national park to understand the behavior, habitat, and characteristics of various wildlife species they always encounter in their village.
They also learn and experience tourism opportunities brought about by wildlife conservation.
This tour is aimed at making children learn practically about wildlife and experience the benefits of wildlife to their life. The park ranger and conservation officers of Mikumi were able to talk to the kids and tell them about the importance of conserving wildlife and their role in wildlife conservation. Kids were also encouraged to study hard so that they can hold the responsibility of conserving the wildlife of Mikumi in the future.
Through this tour, children got practical learning, increase their knowledge, and also built their relationships with the park management.
